Britton Taylor was born apprx 1780-90, probably in Nash County, although he also has connections to Edgecombe and Franklin Counties. He married Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Robert Wilson, Sr., before August 1813, the date of a deed executed by Britton, Elizabeth, Nancy Wilson (her sister) and Nancy's Husband, Joseph Taylor (whom we think was Britton's brother). Britton sold his land on Turkey Creek in Feb 1818 and moved to Whitley County, Kentucky. Researching Sullivant families in Warren, Franklin, Nash and Halifax Counties. In Warren County, Charles & Rachel Sullivant left some court records but I have not found any deeds or wills on them. The Rachel Sullivant in Warren County may be the same Rachel Sullivant that later left a will in Caswell County (abt 1805). Many of the names in the will also show up in Warren County including Drury, Jesse and Russell. I'm looking to connect Isaac Sullivant of Halifax to this family. Isaac Sullivant had a son named Isaac Hunter Sullivant. Isaac Hunter was prominent in Warren County so I'm looking for a connection there also. There may also be ties into the Gibbs and High family as Isaac witnessed a wedding between Rachel Gibbs and Gardner High in this area about 1776. The father of Rachel Gibbs is unknown and might give a clue also.

</B>I am researching a number of surnames in Warren County: WORTHAM I am looking for information on Fannie Wortham (1801-1880) and her children George Wortham (1826-ca 1902), Dinah Wortham Bullock. Most of Fannie's children took the last name of their father George Green (1798-ca 1880), who was the slave of Thomas E. Green and later his son Plummer W. Green. She allegedly had 19 children, some of them were Paul, Abner, Carrie, Ann and Harry. Would like to find who Fannie belonged to prior to John Wortham. Did she come from his wife Martha Langford or his father John Wortham? JERMAN Researching Dr T.P. Jerman and his brother Edward D. Jerman and his sister-in-law Cornelia Jerman. I have documentation tracing the white Jerman(Jermain) family to 1658 in Dieppe, France. They came to NC from Charleston County, SC in the 1850's. My ancestor William (1828-ca 1896) was apparently the slave of Edward D. Jerman. William had a brother Tabor(Taper) and a brother Robert who went by the surname Hunter so William chose the last name Hunter around 1872. Any help you can give on the Jerman or Hunter surname would be appreciated. DAVIS Tracing the descendants of Burwell Davis who died in 1803. My ancestor Mahala was given to his daughter Nancy Davis Fleming in 1842 but I don't know how she became the property of Peter R. Davis by 1850. She was willed to Rebecca and William C. Williams in 1850 when Peter died. If you see the name Mahala as the name of a slave in your research, please contact me. HUNTER Looking for descendants of Robert and Tabor Hunter, both born in South Carolina in the 1820's. Robert lived in the Ridgeway community.

Most of my line of Trotters came first from Scotland, and Durham, England Brunswick, Va., and then went to Mississippi. Here is where my line starts: William Trotter below was to have come from Scotland, and had a brother Dr. Thomas Trotter. I am not sure of the dates that they were born, but figure sometime in the early 1700's to later 1600's because or the birth of James Trotter b. 1725 as the son to William below. William Trotter m. to Caroline Dill
James Trotter b. 1725 Scotland, m. Ann ? or Tabitha
Mitchell Isham Trotter b. 1774 m. Jennie Burch
James Walter Trotter b. 9-10-1797 m. Catherine Nancy Duke b. 3-29-1801
Isham Patten Trotter b. 6-3-1823 m. Elizabeth Foster Peebles b. 1829
Alpha Peebles Trotter b. 10-27-1846, m. Ida Lawrence Barlow b. 9-2-1854
Arthur Guy Trotter MD. b. 1-28-1880 m. Mary Mallet Provost Grayson b. 9- 14-1892
Arthur Grayson Trotter b. 8-19-1918 m. Lillian Marion Patrica McCallin Goebel b. 1-27-1921

I have information of most of the families that where in Brunswick, Va., and Mississippi. I also have families that are located all of the US. I do have some information on the ancestors that are in Scotland, and in Durham, England of Byers Green Hall. If any of this looks like we would be able to help each other let me know. I do have a Trotter Genealogy Book that was written by my g-g-aunt. It does have a lot of family history and descendants of James Trotter. I am welling to send and exchance information with you. In the book that I have it has most of the descendants of the James Trotter and Ann??? above.

Information that I have received said that James Trotter was married to a Tabitha Mitchell. I am waiting to receive proof of this at this time.

Searching for the descendants of Joseph Kimball who died in Surry Co VA, 1711. His children were Benjamin, Joseph, Charles, and William. It's possible there was also a Peter Kimbrell. They moved to NC by 1740, after Charles helped to survey the NC/VA border. Varient Spellings are KIMBELL, KIMBALL, KIMBRELL, KIMBRIEL, KIMBLE, KIMBREL and any other variant you can think of.

We are researching families of: William Bean, Died: 1782: Washington County, N.C. Lydia Russell Bean (wife); Died:AFT 1787 Washington Co., NC Sarah Bean (daughter of William Bean): Born: 1781 Warren Co. TN?? Or NC?? William P. Johnson (husband of Sarah Bean) Born: 1777: Warren Co., TN OR is it NC?? Some records indicate Warren Co., TN, but they supposedly lived in the Watauga River area of East Tennessee.....long before Tennessee existed as a state. Where is Warren County, NC located? Is it possible our records should reflect N.C. rather than TN? Evelyn Winkel Mail address: P.O. Box 725, San Clemente, CA 92674

I have spent many years searching the Pegrams from Warren Co., N.C. and related families. I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has info on Peyton Vaughn who m. Betsy Pegram c. 1809. Also, I am interested in any addition info on Thomas Watkins, Rev. War. Pen. and his related lines, i.e Short, Rigan, Lindsey. I have no informaiton on these lines prior to 1800. I am currently trying to get all the Pegram family information ready for putting on a web page so if you are interested in Pegrams, let me know. I will try to send info to Warren Co. researchers as soon as it is up.
